What is Occupational Therapy?

Understanding Occupational Therapy and how it empowers people to live life to the fullest.

Helping People Live Life to the Fullest

Occupational Therapy is a science-based health and social care profession that looks at the whole person – mind, body and environment – to support wellbeing and independence.

Occupational Therapists are uniquely trained to understand both mental and physical health, and how these interact to shape daily life. Their role is to enable people to do the activities that matter to them, building confidence, capability and independence, whatever challenges they may face.
