Course Details

This course explores the history, purpose and power of social prescribing, alongside the practical skills that underpin everyday practice. Through reflection, mapping and movement, participants will strengthen their “superpowers” of information gathering, directing and connecting. The training also supports social prescribers to recognise barriers, build effective referral pathways, and embed self-care and boundaries, ensuring the role remains sustainable, impactful and fulfilling.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Deepen their understanding of the social prescribing role and its impact
  • Strengthen confidence in system navigation and referrals
  • Explore strategies to address barriers and support outcomes
  • Gain practical tools for reflection, mapping and collaboration
