The power of inclusive language and communication is a learning opportunity in discovering how to communicate in ways that include, empower, and connect. This practical course explores what inclusive communication really means and why it matters — covering the impact of language, the social model of disability, and key principles for creating accessible, respectful interactions. You’ll gain everyday strategies, learn how to navigate challenges, and even get started with basic Makaton. We recognise that none of us get it right all the time — this course is a chance to reflect, learn, and keep improving together. This course will give you the tools to foster meaningful, inclusive communication with everyone.
