Sport For Confidence takes sport out into the community

On Monday, February 18, during half term, Sport For Confidence provided an opportunity for families visiting the Braintree Area Foodbank to get involved in a fun, inclusive, fully coached, boccia session.
Tom Dougherty, Head Coach at Sport For Confidence, says: “We are all about breaking down barriers to sports participation. Everybody deserves the right to be physically active and all the social, mental and physical benefits this has to offer but for some this is not easy. By taking sport out into the community, through partnerships like this, we increase accessibility and enable more people to get involved.”
The foodbank was located at Elm Hall Primary School, Conrad road, Witham and the physical activity session took place 11:45 – 12:15.
